Dr Farah Iqbal Zafar (F)
MB BS, DRCOG, MRCGP

Diploma in Family Planning & Sexual Health, Diploma in Dermatology, Diploma of Palliative Care Medicine GP with Special interest in Women’s Health and Dermatology.

Dr Ellahi Khawar Mansoor (M)
MB BS, FCPS, MRCGP

Diploma Primary care Rheumatology, GP with Special interest in Musculoskeletal Disorders including Back Pain.

Dr Sheikh Mohammad Mobeen Ellahi (M)
MUDR, MRCGP

Dr Mohammad graduated from Charles University in Czeh Republic in 2013. He is heavily involved and has a passion for teaching and is currently a trainer, training programme director and Vice-chair of LMC.

Dr Sheikh Mohib Ellahi (M)
MBBS, MRCGP

Dr Mohib graduated from Newcastle University in 2016. He has involved the practice research studies in order to help provide the best care for our patients. He also has ENT and MSK experience and is able to provide steroid injections.

Dr Sheikh Mateen Ellahi (M)
MBBS MRCGP MBA (UCL – Distinction)

Dr. Mateen Ellahi completed his MBBS degree in 2014 and later earned his MRCGP qualification in 2019. Recently, he has completed an MBA in Global Health (2023). In addition, Dr. Mateen Ellahi is a GP trainer and possesses outstanding skills in teaching both under and postgraduate clinicians. He has done courses on MSK, minor surgery, and joint injections, and has experience in offering these in primary care.

Dr Esther Mautin (F)
MBChB MScPH MRCGP – Salaried GP

Dr Esther Mautin completed her medical training at the prestigious Olabisi Onabanjo University in Nigeria. She completed her GP training locally and earned her MRCGP qualification in 2022. Dr Mautin is enthusiastic about female sexual health, and she is currently pursuing training to improve her skills and knowledge in this area.

Dr Burhan Durrani (M)
MBChB, MRCGP – Salaried GP

Born and raised in Middlesbrough, Dr Durrani completed medical training in the University of Liverpool and returned home to complete his foundation and GP training. He has undertaken joint injection training alongside 2 years experience working under ENT in James Cook.

Dr Louise Danby (F)
MBBS, MRCGP, BSc – Salaried GP

Dr Danby studied a BSc (Hons) degree at Newcastle University and graduated in 2010. Dr Danby trained locally and completed her MRCGP qualification in 2019. Dr Danby is passionate about teaching and currently supervises fourth-year medical students.

Dr Amy Micklethwaite (F)
MBBS, MRCGP – Salaried GP

I graduated from Newcastle University in 2004 and trained locally, completing the MRCGP with distinction in 2008. I work as a training programme director for the local GP training programme and a teaching fellow for Newcastle University. I am currently working towards a master’s in medical education.

Nursing Team

The practice is involved in developing an integrated team of nurses. Our nurses offer a wide range of care as well as being responsible for chronic disease management, health promotion, vaccinations, women’s health and treatment room services.

Michelle Beaumont
Advanced Clinical Practitioner

I have been an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Independent Prescriber since 2020. I have specialities in COPD, Asthma and Dermatology. I previously worked as a District Nurse and so I am experienced in wound care and cervical screening. I have also been a Learning Disability Lead so can assist with Mental Health.

Emma Holmes
Paramedic Practitioner

I joined the NHS in 2013 and graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2015 as a qualified Paramedic. Since then I have worked as a frontline Paramedic and from 2019 I have worked in an advanced role within General Practice. I am studying towards my MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. I also work part time for 111/North East Ambulance Service as an Advanced Practitioner.

I have recently joined the team as Operations Manager. I have extensive primary care experience and am driven by a strong commitment to patient care. I will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the practice and will continue my Masters-level studies alongside my role.  I am extremely excited to join the team and support the practice to continue to deliver fantastic patient care.
